Thus, some school systems perform better and improve faster than others. We reviewed different school systems all over India, including 10 of the best, to understand what causes the differences in quality and dynamics of development. We focused not so much on the difference in what happens in the classrooms, but on the differences at the system level: it is these that ultimately determine the quality of teaching. We asked ourselves: what unites the best school systems, regardless of cultural and social context?  And what tools do they use to continually improve student outcomes?
